Canon Black Friday 2026: what to buy now and what to wait for
On November 2 the R5 Mark II body page at B&H lists $3,999, down from $4,099. That is still $100 above last Black Friday’s $3,899, so wait. The R6 Mark II body is still $1,999, matching last year, so that one stays a buy. Canon had listed the previous offers through November 1. We did not reopen the R8, R7, RP or R6 Mark III pages this morning.

“Black Friday 2025” is the price at Canon’s own store and the big authorized dealers (B&H, Adorama, Amazon) during last year’s holiday event. Checked October 18, 2026 against Canon USA, B&H and public price trackers. Prices change often, so each button below opens the live listing.
The R5 Mark II offer, the dealer trade-in bonus and the lens-with-camera bundle bonus all end then. Canon’s US price changes usually land on a Monday, so the next one is likely Monday, November 2. If you can wait two weeks, you lose very little by doing so.
Canon’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2026 timeline
| Date | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Now to Sun, Nov 1 | Current offers. The R5 Mark II is $300 off. Canon’s store lists $30 to $200 off on many RF lenses. Dealers add a trade-in bonus and a lens bundle bonus. |
| Mon, Nov 2 | The likely day for Canon’s next price change. Last year the R5 Mark II moved to its holiday price on Monday, November 3. |
| Around Thu, Nov 19 | The likely start of Canon’s main Black Friday event. In 2025 it ran Thursday, November 20 to Monday, December 1 at Amazon, B&H, Adorama and Canon’s store. |
| Fri, Nov 27 | Black Friday. |
| Mon, Nov 30 | Cyber Monday. Canon’s rebates normally cover the whole event, so prices match Black Friday. Stock and bundles are what change. |
This is last year’s pattern, not an announcement. We haven’t seen Canon publish its 2026 holiday dates yet, and this page will be updated when it does.
Canon camera deals, model by model
Canon EOS R5 Mark II
Wait for NovemberThe 45MP stacked flagship is $3,999 on the November 2 body page, down from $4,099. Last year’s Black Friday price was $3,899, which is still $100 lower. Full price history is on our R5 Mark II tracker.
Canon EOS R6 Mark III
First Black FridayThe 32.5MP hybrid body launched in November 2025 at $2,799 and records 7K60 RAW internally. We can’t find a Canon instant rebate on it, and Canon’s own store listed it as backordered when we checked. Canon’s refurbished store has sold it for $2,519.10. A Canon rebate of $200 or more would be its first and is the signal to buy. See our R6 Mark III tracker.
Canon EOS R6 Mark II
Good at $1,999The 24.2MP hybrid body was $1,999 last Black Friday and has returned to that price repeatedly since April. B&H still showed $1,999 on October 28. A holiday sale is unlikely to beat it by much, so don’t wait if you find it at $1,999. See our R6 Mark II tracker.
Canon EOS R8
Good at $1,299The lightest and cheapest full-frame body Canon sells, with the R6 Mark II’s 24.2MP sensor but no in-body stabilization. It cost $1,299 last Black Friday, in June and July, and again from October 5 to 11. Since October 12 it has been $1,399, and B&H still showed $1,399 on October 28, so $1,299 is the number to hold out for. Canon’s refurbished store has listed it for $1,099 to $1,169. See our R8 tracker.
Canon EOS R7
Good at $1,349The 32.5MP APS-C body is the reach pick for wildlife and sports. It was $1,349 last Black Friday and again in January, and recent prices have run from $1,449 to $1,649 depending on the store and the week. Anything near $1,349 is a good deal. Refurbished units have sold for $949 to $1,239. See our Canon EOS R7 tracker for the full price history.
Entry-level and older bodies
Smaller cutsThe cheapest bodies (R10, R50, R50 V, R100) got small cuts last year, roughly $80 to $150. The aging EOS RP fell to $749 last Black Friday. Canon Price Watch lists it at $899 on November 1, up from $799 on October 13. Wait for $749. Among older pro bodies, the EOS R5 was $2,599 and the EOS R3 was $4,399 last Black Friday. The October lens bundle bonus also covers the R50, R50 V, R100 and RP. That bonus is on the lens. On November 1 the R50 body was $729 at B&H, with no crossed-out price. The R10 body was $1,099, also with no crossed-out price, after B&H had it at $999 on October 7. The R50 V body page was $619, from $719, and a compare view of that same body said $569. The PowerShot V1 was $849, under $1,029 on the category. See our EOS RP tracker, R10 tracker, R50 tracker, R50 V tracker and PowerShot V1 tracker.

Canon RF lens deals
Canon’s lens rebates are small. Last year most RF L lenses were $100 off and the long telephotos were $200 off. Right now Canon’s own store lists $100 to $200 off several RF lenses, including the RF 28-70mm f/2L and the RF 70-200mm f/2.8L Z at $200, and the RF 85mm f/1.2L and RF 50mm f/1.2L at $100. It shows no end dates, so check before you rely on them. Bigger savings come from bundling a lens with a body and from Canon’s refurbished store.

Lens picks by use
Everyday zoom
RF 24-105mm f/4LThe standard L zoom for most RF bodies. Canon’s refurbished store restocked it at $1,259 on October 9, and last year’s Black Friday price was $1,299.
Portraits
RF 85mm f/1.2LCanon’s classic portrait lens, with $100 off at Canon’s store right now. The cheaper RF 85mm f/2 Macro is the budget route.
Wildlife and sports
RF 100-500mm and RF 200-800mmBoth got $200 off last year. If the budget is tight, the RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 is far cheaper and still a useful long lens.
Pro telephoto zoom
RF 70-200mm f/2.8LThe original RF 70-200mm f/2.8L was $2,499 last Black Friday. The newer, lighter Z version is $200 off at Canon’s store right now.
Bundles, trade-ins and stacked offers
- Lens with body bonus (until November 1): at participating authorized dealers, buying certain RF lenses with an R6 Mark III, R6 Mark II, R8, RP, R50, R50 V or R100 body or kit earns $50 or $150 in bonus savings, depending on the lens. The fine print says it combines with other offers, except in-store additional savings.
- Trade-in bonus (until November 1): a dealer trade-in event gives up to $500 in bonus trade-up credit on eligible Canon products when you trade in a working camera or lens. We don’t know yet whether it returns for Black Friday, so ask the dealer.
- B&H Payboo card: B&H has offered 5% off Canon gear plus no sales tax to Payboo cardholders, as it did in April 2026, and it stacked on Canon’s rebates. It’s worth checking if you already hold the card.
Canon’s refurbished store
Canon sells refurbished cameras and lenses at usa.canon.com (not an affiliate link), each with a one-year Canon USA warranty. Prices are well below new, and stock sells out within days, so restocks are worth watching.
- The EOS R8 has been listed at $1,099 (April and August 2026) and $1,169 (October 9).
- The EOS R6 Mark III first appeared on August 27 at $2,519.10 and was restocked on October 9.
- The EOS R7 sold at $949 on November 24, 2025, and at $1,239 on August 28, 2026.
- Canon restocked on November 24, 2025, in the middle of last Thanksgiving week, including the EOS R5 Mark II at $3,509.
Where to buy Canon gear on Black Friday
- B&H: a main Canon dealer and a good place for bundles. Online checkout closes for Shabbat from Friday evening to Saturday night, including Black Friday, so order before Friday evening.
- Adorama: an authorized dealer that has generally changed its Canon prices on the same days as Canon and B&H.
- Amazon: Canon’s rebates ran there last year. Buy only when the listing is shipped and sold by Amazon.com, so you get a US-warranty unit and Amazon’s holiday returns.
- Best Buy: useful for store pickup. Check that its price matches Canon’s rebate.
On November 28, 2025, Canon Price Watch listed one-day prices from other authorized dealers of $3,569 for the R5 Mark II and $1,799 for the R6 Mark II. Those were one-day offers on limited stock. We can’t track them, so the targets on this page are based on prices at the big stores.
Canon Black Friday FAQ
When is Canon’s Black Friday sale in 2026?
Black Friday is November 27 and Cyber Monday is November 30. We haven’t seen Canon announce its holiday dates yet. Last year its instant rebates ran from Thursday, November 20 to Monday, December 1 at Amazon, B&H, Adorama and Canon’s store, and the R5 Mark II dropped to its holiday price on November 3. Expect early cuts as well as the main event.
Will the Canon EOS R6 Mark III go on sale for Black Friday?
Possibly. It has no Canon instant rebate that we can find, and this is its first holiday season. Canon’s rebates on current bodies ran from $100 to $500 last year. We’d treat $200 or more off as a good result. Don’t pay full price unless you need the camera now.
Is Canon cheaper on Cyber Monday than on Black Friday?
Usually not. Canon’s instant rebates normally run through the whole holiday event, so the price is the same on both days. Bundles and stock are what change.
Should I buy the EOS R5 Mark II now at $3,999?
Not yet. The November 2 body page is $100 above last Black Friday’s $3,899. See the R5 Mark II tracker.
Are Canon refurbished cameras worth buying?
For most buyers, yes. They come with a one-year Canon USA warranty and cost far less than new. The catch is stock: popular items often sell out within days of a restock.
Can I trade in a camera for a Black Friday discount?
Right now a dealer trade-in event runs through November 1, with up to $500 in bonus trade-up credit. Whether Canon repeats it for Black Friday isn’t known yet. Ask your dealer before you buy.
