Canon EOS R7 Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deals 2026

The R7 is back to $1,649, while last Black Friday it was $1,349. Here's the R7 price history, the number to wait for, and what the rumored Mark II means.

Our call right now

Wait for November. $1,649 is the full price, and Black Friday 2025 brought $1,349 (at B&H until Jan 20). Buy at $1,449 or less, and ideally $1,349.

Not worth buying at today's price. One email when Canon EOS R7 hits our target.

Canon EOS R7 deal status right now

The R7 body is $1,649 at B&H and the Canon Store. That’s the full price, and it went back up on October 12 after a one-week dip to $1,549. We can’t find a Canon rebate on it today. Canon’s current October offers don’t cover the R7 and end November 1. Last Black Friday, Canon’s holiday rebate put the R7 at $1,349, and it stayed at that price at B&H for two months.

Wait for Canon’s holiday rebate

Last year Canon’s rebate started on Thursday, November 20 and ran to December 1. A Canon Mark II is also rumored for early 2027, so a rumor-driven price drop on the current R7 is possible, but we wouldn’t count on it. If you need the R7 for the holidays, wait until at least the third week of November. The R7’s price has flipped between $1,549 and $1,649 since July, so $1,549 isn’t a Black Friday price.

What counts as a good R7 price

  • $1,349 or lessLast Black Friday’s price, which held at B&H from November 20 to January 20. Buy without hesitating.
  • $1,449 or lessThe price at B&H from February to March and again from April 27 to June 29, and the normal price just before last Black Friday. Fair, and a good deal compared with $1,649.
  • $1,549 or moreThe $1,549 “sale” price has come and gone since July. Skip it if a holiday rebate is still weeks away.

Last year’s $1,349 was $100 off a street price of $1,449. This year the street price is $1,649, so a $100 rebate alone would give $1,549, not $1,349. We think Canon’s holiday offer is more likely to take a larger cut off the $1,649 price, but we haven’t seen it announced, so treat $1,349 as the number to hope for and $1,449 as the number to accept.

Who should buy the R7

Good fit

  • Wildlife, bird and sports photographers who want reach and speed on a budget: 30 fps, subject-detection autofocus and the extra reach of an APS-C sensor.
  • Shooters who want in-body stabilization on APS-C. The Nikon Z50 II doesn’t have it.
  • People who can’t repeat a shot and want two card slots.
  • Hybrid shooters who want 10-bit 4K/60 and C-Log 3 in an APS-C body.

Look elsewhere

  • Native APS-C lenses. Canon makes only six RF-S lenses, none of them primes. You’ll use full-frame RF lenses, adapted EF lenses or Sigma’s seven Canon-mount APS-C lenses.
  • High ISO in the dark. Reviewers note it can’t match full frame.
  • Fast-moving subjects at 30 fps. Reviewers note rolling shutter in the electronic shutter.
  • The smallest budget. The Nikon Z50 II is much cheaper, and the Canon EOS R50 and R10 cost less still.
  • People who want the latest model. A Mark II is rumored for early 2027.

Is the R7 Mark II coming?

Canon hasn’t announced one. Canon Rumors reports that the R7 Mark II isn’t coming in 2026 and that it’s expected in Q1 2027, ahead of CP+ in late February. That’s from unnamed sources. If you’re set on the Mark II, you’re waiting until at least February. If you want an APS-C camera for this winter, the current R7 is a proven body, and Black Friday is the likeliest time for it to be cheaper.

Alternatives to compare

Nikon Z50 II

Much cheaper

About $1,007 for the body. It’s lighter and far cheaper, but it has 20.9MP, no in-body stabilization, one card slot and a 220-shot battery rating, against 32.5MP, two slots and 380 shots for the R7. See our Nikon guide for its holiday outlook.

Sony a6700

Best lens choice

About $1,498. It has a larger lens ecosystem, a battery rated for about 550 shots, and in-body stabilization. Its 26MP sensor has fewer pixels than the R7’s 32.5MP.

Canon EOS R8

Full frame, $250 less

The cheapest Canon full-frame body, about $250 less than the R7 today. It has no in-body stabilization, and the crop of an APS-C body gives the R7 more reach. Last Black Friday it was $1,299. See the Canon camera deals.

Used and refurbished R7 deals

  • Canon’s refurbished store: the R7 sold there at $949 on November 24, 2025, in the middle of last Thanksgiving week, and at $1,239 on August 28, 2026. Each unit has a one-year Canon USA warranty, and stock sells out within days. It’s sold at usa.canon.com (not an affiliate link).
  • B&H used: used units start at $1,236.50 for a camera with 125,000 shutter actuations, and run to $1,483.95 for one with 2,000. Each has a 90-day B&H warranty. If Canon’s holiday price returns to $1,349, a heavily used $1,236 body isn’t a bargain.

Retailer tips for buying the R7

  • B&H: an authorized dealer and a good place to watch the price, since its changes track Canon’s.
  • Adorama: an authorized dealer. Its R7 price has usually moved on the same days as Canon’s and B&H’s.
  • Amazon: Canon’s rebate ran there last year. Buy only when the listing is shipped and sold by Amazon.com, so you get a US-warranty unit and Amazon’s holiday returns.
  • Smaller dealers: on November 7, 2025, Canon Price Watch listed a $1,199 “street price” on the R7 from an authorized dealer. It has since expired. So a dealer can undercut Canon’s rebate, though that one expired.

Canon EOS R7 Black Friday FAQ

Will the Canon EOS R7 go on sale for Black Friday 2026?

Very likely. Canon put it on a holiday instant rebate last year, from November 20 to December 1. We haven’t seen Canon announce its 2026 offers yet. The open question is the price: last year’s $1,349 was $100 off a $1,449 street price, and the R7 is $1,649 today.

What was the Canon EOS R7’s Black Friday 2025 price?

$1,349 at B&H, Adorama, Amazon and the Canon Store, starting November 20. At B&H it stayed at $1,349 until January 20, 2026.

Should I buy the R7 now at $1,649?

Only if you need it before November. The price has been lower than $1,649 for most of this year, including $1,449 from April to June, and Canon’s holiday rebate is only weeks away.

Is the Canon EOS R7 Mark II coming out soon?

Not in 2026, according to Canon Rumors. Its sources now point to a launch before CP+ in February 2027. Canon hasn’t confirmed anything.

Is the R7 good for wildlife?

Yes. Its subject-detection autofocus, 30 fps electronic shutter and the extra reach of an APS-C sensor suit it to wildlife. Plan the lens budget carefully, since the RF-S lens range is small and long RF lenses are expensive.

R7 or Nikon Z50 II?

Choose the R7 for wildlife, sports, stabilized stills and dual-card backup, and the Z50 II for travel, family use and a lower starting cost. The R7 costs about $640 more today.
