How this affects what we recommend

It doesn’t. Commission rates differ between stores, but we link to every major retailer that sells a product and tell you when it’s better to wait than to buy. Our “price to wait for” targets come from manufacturer launch prices and authorized-dealer price history, not from which store pays more.

About prices

We don’t copy live prices onto our pages, because they change too often during Black Friday week. Any price we mention is a dated reference point such as a launch MSRP, a past promotion or a record low. The retailer’s own page always shows the current price, which is the price you’ll pay.
