Sony a7R VI deal status right now
B&H lists the a7R VI body at $4,498, in stock. Price Drop Catch has recorded that same price across 180 checks since May 27, 2026, including a check on October 30. Sony announced it on May 13, 2026 at $4,499.99. There has been no recorded discount. Sony hasn’t announced 2026 holiday savings. In 2025 they started November 3, and the previous camera, the a7R V, was $900 off.
$4,498 is the launch price with the cents knocked off. This is the camera’s first holiday season. We wouldn’t invent a target below a number Sony hasn’t discounted yet. Buy it now only if you need 66.8MP and 30 fps and you were going to pay full price anyway.
What counts as a good a7R VI price

Who should buy the a7R VI
Good fit
- You need the stacked 66.8MP sensor and 30 fps, and you’ll wait for a rebate or you’ve already decided full price is acceptable.
- You shoot landscapes, commercial stills, or wildlife and the a7R V’s rolling shutter is the problem.
Look elsewhere
- You can live with 61MP and a slower sensor. Wait on the a7R V for $3,298. That’s about $1,200 less than this camera at full price.
- You want 45MP and a stacked sensor on another mount. The Nikon Z8 is $3,196.95 on the November 2 body page.
