Nikon Z6 III deal status right now

On November 6 the Z6 III body page at B&H still lists $1,996.95, in stock. Nikon had listed the $700 rebate through November 1, and the dollar has not moved. It’s $100 below last Black Friday, when the holiday rebate that started November 6, 2025 took it to $2,096.95.

TrackaLacker’s B&H history, which starts in June 2024, has never recorded a lower price than $1,996.95. That price has come back several times in 2026, including April, June, July and September. Between sales, B&H has charged $2,196.95.

Our call: buy at $1,996.95

The November 6 body page still shows the lowest B&H price in the record. A later holiday rebate could go lower, but last year’s holiday price was higher. We’d buy rather than wait.

  • $2,196.95 or moreThe in-between price, including September 21 and October 5. Skip it while $1,996.95 is available.

DPReview measured rolling shutter at about 14.6ms in 14-bit stills, against about 67.6ms on the Sony a7 IV. The same tests found the partially stacked sensor gives up some dynamic range compared with the Z6 II. It also has pre-release capture, so it can record frames from before you fully press the shutter.

Body or kit?

Last Black Friday the Z6 III with the 24-70mm f/4 S was $2,696.95. Compare a current kit with the body plus a lens bought on its own, because a bundle can hide a smaller discount. See our Nikon lens deals.

Who should buy the Z6 III

Good fit

  • Hybrid shooters who want a fast sensor, 6K raw video and a bright viewfinder.
  • Action shooters who want 20 fps raw and pre-release capture without a Z8.
  • Anyone comparing it with a Sony a7 IV. The prices match, and the Z6 III is faster.
  • Z6 II owners who want the new autofocus and stabilization.

Look elsewhere

  • Resolution. 24.5MP is enough for most prints, but the Z8 has 45.7MP.
  • Maximum dynamic range. DPReview found a small loss versus the Z6 II.
  • Long battery days. It’s rated well under the a7 IV’s 520 shots.
  • The smallest kit. It weighs 760g.

Is a Z6 III successor coming?

We haven’t seen Nikon announce one. Nikon Rumors wrote in August 2026 that new Nikon cameras are delayed and that 2026 has been a slow year for bodies, with a Z9 II more likely in 2027. That’s one site’s read of its sources, not a Nikon statement. Don’t wait on a replacement for this Black Friday.

Alternatives to compare

Sony a7 IV

$1 more

Canon EOS R6 Mark II

Nikon Z6 II

About $550 less

Still $1,446.95 on the November 6 body page. It’s the previous body: slower readout and an older autofocus system. See our Z6 II tracker.

Refurbished Z6 III prices, and a service advisory

  • Nikon refurbished: our check of Nikon’s refurbished store on October 18 found the Z6 III from $1,679.96. The warranty is 90 days, shorter than a new camera. During refurbished sales on August 25 and September 22, forum members on Fred Miranda reported $1,439. Those prices were temporary and stock moved during the sales. Nikon sells refurbished gear at nikonusa.com (not an affiliate link).
  • Service advisory: on March 17, 2026 Nikon said certain Z6 III bodies were built with parts that don’t meet its quality standards, and those units can become inoperable. Not every camera is affected. Nikon repairs the affected serial numbers for free, including shipping, even after the warranty ends. Check the seven-digit serial number behind the rear screen at nikonusa.com (not an affiliate link) before you rely on a used or refurbished body, and again if you buy new.

Retailer tips for buying the Z6 III

  • B&H: an authorized dealer, and the November 6 body page is still $1,996.95. Nikon had listed the rebate through November 1. Online checkout closes for Shabbat from Friday evening to Saturday night, including Black Friday.
  • Amazon: compare the body price with B&H, and buy only when the listing is sold and shipped by Amazon.com.
  • Adorama: an authorized dealer. Compare its price and any bundle with the B&H body price.
  • Trade-in: Nikon’s current trade-in offers cover the Z6 III. Ask the dealer what a trade is worth before you count it as a discount.

Nikon Z6 III Black Friday FAQ

Will the Nikon Z6 III be cheaper on Black Friday 2026?

It might, but $1,996.95 is already $100 below last Black Friday and the lowest price in B&H’s tracked history. The current rebate ends November 1. We’d buy it.

What’s the lowest price the Z6 III has sold for?

$1,996.95 at B&H, first recorded on April 10, 2026, and repeated in June, July, September and from October 19. Nikon’s refurbished sales have been lower.

Is the Z6 III or the Sony a7 IV the better buy?

They cost the same. Choose the Z6 III for speed, the viewfinder and stabilization. Choose the a7 IV for 33MP, battery life and E-mount lenses.

Should I worry about the Z6 III service advisory?

Check the serial number. Nikon identified a range of bodies, not the whole production run, and it repairs affected cameras for free.

Is a Z6 IV coming?

Nothing is announced. One rumor site expects Nikon’s next major body to be a Z9 II in 2027, and says other cameras are delayed.
