On November 6 the Newegg page sold and shipped by Newegg listed the Ryzen 7 7800X3D at $420, under a $449 figure on the same page. A marketplace seller on that page was $341.99. That is not the Newegg price. On November 2 the Newegg-sold price was $389. NowInStock shows Newegg itself at $347.98–$348 in mid-October. This is the 8-core chip before the 9800X3D, which was $479 at Newegg the same morning.
$420 beats the $449 figure and misses both the November 2 price and the mid-October Newegg price. Don’t buy the marketplace listing to get there.

- It’s back at $449. Look at the 9800X3D instead, and only buy that one at $429 or less.
- You compile, render or run heavy multi-core work. An 8-core X3D chip is a gaming part. A 16-core chip is the other conversation.
