Sony FX30 deal status right now
B&H lists the FX30 body at $2,098, in stock, and the kit with the XLR handle at $2,498. Our Sony guide saw the same $2,098 at Amazon on October 7. Last holiday season Sony took $300 off and added a $50 cashback, according to that guide. We have not re-checked the dollar result of that cashback, so we aren’t calling $1,798 a verified receipt. Sony hasn’t announced 2026 holiday dates. In 2025 the savings started November 3.
Today is the regular price. A useful deal is about $300 under that, in the range of last year’s rebate. $2,098 itself isn’t one.

Who should buy the FX30
Good fit
- You want Sony’s cinema shape and the XLR option, on APS-C, and you’ll wait for a cut.
- You already own E-mount lenses and don’t need full frame.
Look elsewhere
- You also shoot stills. Buy a hybrid body. The FX30 has no viewfinder.
- You need full frame. The FX3 is the body to watch, at a much higher price.
- The only price is $2,098. That’s the number to beat, not the deal.
