Sony a6700 Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deals 2026

The a6700 is $1,498, which is what B&H charged last Black Friday. Here's its price history, the $1,398 price to hold out for, and what's rumored to replace it.

Our call right now

Buy at $1,398 or less. $1,498 is today's price and last year's Black Friday price, so it's fine if you need the camera, but a $100 holiday cut is the number to wait for.

Not worth buying at today's price. One email when Sony a6700 hits our target.

Sony a6700 deal status right now

The a6700 body is $1,498 at B&H, Amazon and Best Buy ($1,499.99), and one tracker recorded no change at B&H from June 30 to October 24. That’s already last Black Friday’s price: B&H dropped it from $1,598 to $1,498 on November 3, 2025 and held it until January 5. The $1,398 price came back only in June 2026, when Amazon dropped to $1,398 and B&H matched it, around Prime Day.

We haven’t seen Sony announce its 2026 holiday savings. Last year they began on November 3, so early November is when to watch.

Our call: buy at $1,398, accept $1,498 if you need it

$1,498 isn’t a bad price, but it isn’t a Black Friday price either, since it’s what B&H charged last year. If you can wait, $1,398 has appeared twice in 2026 and is the number to hold out for. Don’t expect much below it.

What counts as a good a6700 price

  • $1,398 or lessAmazon’s lowest price (June 22, 2026), matched at B&H the same day. $100 below today. Buy.
  • $1,498Today’s price at B&H, Amazon and Best Buy, and what B&H charged from November 3, 2025 to January 5, 2026. Fine if you need it now.
  • $1,598 or moreB&H’s price in September 2025 and for stretches of early 2026. Skip it.

For context, the body launched at $1,398 in 2023. Amazon marketplace sellers listed new ones at $1,298 on April 27, 2025, but that was a third-party listing and no big retailer matched it. Don’t plan around it.

Source: TrackaLacker and Price Drop Catch, checked October 25, 2026. The B&H listing stopped being tracked after June 22, so we used Price Drop Catch for today’s price. Some “Black Friday $1,398” articles from last year claim a lower price, but we couldn’t find B&H charging that in November 2025.

Body or kit?

B&H lists the a6700 with the 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 II at $1,598, only $100 above the body, and that price hasn’t changed since we started tracking on August 21. It’s a small, light kit lens, so it’s good value if you don’t own a lens, but a body plus a better lens usually serves you longer. B&H also lists a 16-55mm f/2.8 kit. See our Sony lens deals.

Who should buy the a6700

Good fit

  • Hybrid shooters who want 4K/120p and 10-bit video in a small body.
  • Travelers and hikers who want a light camera with the full E-mount lens lineup.
  • Wildlife and sports beginners who want good subject tracking at 11 fps.
  • Anyone who wants a battery that lasts a day.

Look elsewhere

  • Professional work that needs two card slots. The a6700 has one.
  • Fast action. It shoots 11 fps, against Canon’s R7 at up to 30 fps electronic.
  • Anyone who wants a sharper viewfinder. Its 2.36M dots are common in this class, but the Fujifilm X-T5 has more.
  • Anyone waiting for Sony’s rumored larger APS-C camera, which hasn’t been announced.

Is an a6700 successor coming?

We haven’t seen Sony announce one. Sony Alpha Rumors has talked about a larger APS-C camera, called the A6900 or A7000, possibly using a 26MP stacked sensor. It gave 2026 a 50% chance in one post and said 2027 looks more likely. Another report listed it at 20%. Treat this as a rumor from one site.

Nikon Z50 II

About $540 less

Canon EOS R7

Used a6700 prices

Amazon lists used a6700 bodies from about $1,349, which is only $149 below the new price. Unless a used body is well below that, buy new for the warranty and returns.

Retailer tips for buying the a6700

  • Amazon: its own price history shows $1,398 on June 22, 2026 and a high of $1,598 on March 2. Buy only when the listing is sold and shipped by Amazon.com, because marketplace sellers can list at different prices.
  • B&H: an authorized dealer. Online checkout closes for Shabbat from Friday evening to Saturday night, including Black Friday, so order before Friday evening.
  • Adorama and Best Buy: both are authorized dealers. Best Buy lists the body at $1,499.99. Check bundles against a plain price cut.

Sony a6700 Black Friday FAQ

Will the Sony a6700 go on sale for Black Friday 2026?

Probably, but by a small amount. Last year’s Black Friday price at B&H was $1,498, which is today’s price. A $100 cut would make it $1,398. We haven’t seen Sony announce its holiday dates yet.

What’s the lowest price the a6700 has sold for?

$1,398 at Amazon and B&H in June 2026, and also at B&H at launch in 2023. A third-party Amazon listing reached $1,298 in April 2025.

Should I wait for an a6700 successor?

Not for Black Friday. Nothing is announced, and one rumor source says 2027 is more likely.

Does the a6700 have two card slots?

No. It has one UHS-II SD slot. If you need redundancy, look at the Canon R7 or a full-frame Sony.

How long does the a6700 battery last?

Sony rates it for 550 shots with the viewfinder and 570 with the screen. DPReview says real use often gets nearer twice that, and Cameralabs recorded a two-hour 4K clip on one charge.
