Canon EOS R6 Mark III deal status right now
The R6 Mark III body is $2,799 at B&H, its launch price from November 2025. One price tracker recorded no change at B&H across 103 checks from July 22 to October 23, and we can’t find a Canon instant rebate on it. This is the camera’s first Black Friday, because it launched on November 7, 2025, after last year’s sales had started. Canon’s current offers end November 1, and the R6 Mark III isn’t in the instant rebates, though it’s covered by the lens-with-body bonus.
The cheaper prices we found are outside the big stores. Canon Price Watch lists a $2,499 “street price” from an authorized dealer, and Canon’s refurbished store restocked the body at $2,519.10 on October 9.
If Canon follows last year, its holiday event starts around November 19. A Canon rebate of $200 or more would be the camera’s first and the signal to buy at B&H or Amazon. If you can’t wait, the $2,499 street price has returned repeatedly since April, so it’s a real price, but it’s limited stock ordered through a request form, not a checkout button.
What counts as a good R6 Mark III price
- $2,499 or lessCanon Price Watch’s street price, $300 below list, and the price of a refurbished unit from Canon. Buy without hesitating.
- $2,599 or lessThe lowest price one tracker recorded at Amazon, on June 28 and 29. A Canon rebate of $200 would match it. Good.
- $2,799Full price at B&H and Amazon. Skip it unless you need the camera before the holidays.
The $2,499 street price, explained
Canon Price Watch is a deal-tracking site that sells through an authorized dealer. You fill in a form and receive ordering instructions. It says the camera is new, with a 1-year Canon USA warranty and free express shipping. The $2,499 offer was back in stock on April 28, May 20, June 3 and in September, and was active on October 5. Quantities are limited. Since October 5 some street prices have included a free five-year extended warranty: Canon covers the first year, a third party covers the next five, and accidental damage isn’t covered. Body or lens kit?
B&H sells the R6 Mark III with the RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM at $3,149, which is $350 more than the body. Canon Price Watch lists a street price of $2,649.99 for that kit. Canon’s lens-with-body bonus, valid until November 1, adds $50 or $150 in savings on certain RF lenses bought with an R6 Mark III. If you want a bright lens, buy the body and put the money toward a Canon RF lens. See our Canon RF lens deals.
Who should buy the R6 Mark III
Good fit
- Hybrid shooters who want 7K RAW and open-gate video with 32.5MP stills.
- Sports and wildlife shooters who want 40 fps and pre-capture without paying for an R5 Mark II.
- Event and wedding shooters who need two card slots and in-body stabilization.
- R6 Mark II owners who need the video features.
Look elsewhere
- Long days on one battery. 270 shots with the viewfinder is low, and the R6 Mark II is rated for 450. The BG-R20 grip roughly doubles it.
- Fast-moving subjects at 40 fps. Its rolling shutter is about 13ms in stills, against 6.3ms on the stacked R5 Mark II.
- Resolution. The R5 Mark II has 45MP and 8K video.
- Tight budgets. The R6 Mark II is $800 less.
DPReview found open-gate video had 17.9ms rolling shutter, higher than its standard 4K mode at 7.2ms, so fast panning in open gate shows more distortion.

Canon EOS R6 Mark III Black Friday FAQ
Will the Canon EOS R6 Mark III go on sale for Black Friday 2026?
Possibly. It has no Canon instant rebate that we can find, and this is its first holiday season. Canon cut other bodies by $100 to $500 last year. We’d treat $200 or more off as a good result.
Is the R6 Mark III cheaper than $2,799 anywhere?
Yes. Canon Price Watch lists a $2,499 street price from an authorized dealer, in limited stock, and Canon’s refurbished store had it at $2,519.10 on October 9. One tracker also recorded $2,599 at Amazon in late June.
Is the R6 Mark III worth $800 more than the R6 Mark II?
If you shoot video, yes: 7K RAW and open gate. For photos alone, the R6 Mark II at $1,999 is the better value, and it has the longer battery life.
Is the R6 Mark III good for sports?
It shoots 40 fps with pre-capture, but its sensor reads out about twice as slowly as the R5 Mark II’s, and the battery is rated for 270 shots with the viewfinder. Carry spares or the BG-R20 grip.
Is the Canon Price Watch street price safe?
It’s a Canon Price Watch program for new products from an authorized dealer with a 1-year Canon USA warranty. You order through a form rather than a retailer’s checkout, so read the terms and the return policy first.
