Gaming laptop Black Friday 2026: what we opened
On November 6 the B&H page for the Lenovo Legion 5i, model 83VK0005US, listed $2,299.00, in stock, with no crossed-out price. On November 2 the same page was $2,699.99. The spec table on that page says a Core Ultra 9 290HX, 16GB of DDR5, a 1TB SSD, and an RTX 5070 laptop GPU at 115W with 12GB of GDDR7. The feature list on the same page says Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus. The screen is a 15.3-inch 2560 x 1600 OLED at 165 Hz. We did not open a second configuration.
$2,299.00 is the current B&H price for that exact model, $400.99 below November 2. It is still not a price we can compare with last Black Friday. Black Friday is November 27. Open the listing again that week before you pay this number.
What to check before the price
- Same model number, lower than today’s page83VK0005US at under $2,299.00, still sold by B&H, Amazon, or Newegg. That is the comparison that matters.
- 32GB of RAM in the priceThis configuration is 16GB in one slot, with a second slot free and a listed ceiling of 32GB. Adding RAM later costs extra, and memory is expensive in 2026.
- A big “% off” on a different laptopAn RTX 5070, an RTX 5070 at 85W, and an RTX 5060 are not the same computer. Match the GPU, its wattage, the RAM, and the screen.
B&H product page for 83VK0005US, checked November 6, 2026. ASUS Strix and TUF pages opened on November 2 were discontinued or no longer available, so they are not a second price.

Legion 5i 83VK0005US
B&H $2,299.00- RTX 5070 115W
- 12GB GDDR7
- 16GB RAM
In stock at $2,299.00. The OLED is 2560 x 1600 at 165 Hz, with G-Sync on the spec table. One M.2 slot is free. See the Legion 5i tracker. ASUS Strix and TUF pages we opened on November 2 were discontinued or no longer available.
Before you buy a gaming laptop
- GPU wattage. The page we opened rates the RTX 5070 at 115W. A laptop with the same chip name at a lower wattage is a slower GPU.
- VRAM. 12GB on this Legion is more than the 8GB laptop 5070s still on sale. Read the title, not the badge.
- RAM. 16GB is the configuration in the price above. The spec table says one module and a free slot, up to 32GB.
- Who sells it. Buy from B&H, Amazon.com, or Newegg itself. A marketplace listing with a lower price is a different return policy.
Building a desktop instead? The GPU guide and the CPU guide use the same rule: the opened page, not a store’s crossed-out price.
Gaming laptop FAQ
Is $2,299.00 a Black Friday price?
Not one we can show. The November 6 page had no crossed-out price, and we do not have a 2025 holiday price for this model number. It is $400.99 below the November 2 page. Check it again in the week of November 27.
Why not quote the other Legion configurations?
We opened 83VK0005US. A 32GB listing is a different page, and we did not open it.
