Sony a7C II deal status right now
B&H lists the black a7C II body at $2,498. We also saw B&H’s silver body at $2,098, marked $400 off $2,498, on its comparison pages, so check both colors. Amazon had it at $2,098 on October 7. Imaging Resource reported the same $400 cut on May 1 and called it the lowest price of 2026 at the time.
Last Black Friday, Sony’s rebate was $200 plus a $50 cashback, which put B&H at $2,298. B&H’s cheapest recorded price was $1,998 on the silver body in April 2025.
$2,098 already beats last year’s Black Friday price by $200. If you only see $2,498, wait for Sony’s holiday savings, which began on November 3 last year.

Body or kit?
B&H lists a black kit with a lens (ILCE-7CM2L/B) and a Basic Bundle. The kit’s stock history shows $2,398 on September 3 and $2,798 earlier in the summer, so compare the kit price with the body plus a lens bought separately. Who should buy the a7C II
Good fit
- Travelers and street shooters who want full frame in a small body.
- Vloggers and solo creators: vari-angle screen, 10-bit video and good AF.
- Anyone upgrading from an a6000-series camera.
- Photographers who care about weight more than a second card slot.
Look elsewhere
- Weddings and paid work that need two card slots. See the a7 IV.
- Anyone who wants a better viewfinder. The a7 IV’s is 3.68M dots.
- Full-width 4K/60 video. The a7C II crops to Super 35 at 60p.
- Heavy telephoto lenses, where the small grip is hard to hold.
Is an a7C II successor coming?
We haven’t seen Sony announce one. Sony Alpha Rumors expects its next a7C-series cameras in 2027 and gave a new a7C II only a 5% chance this year. That’s a rumor from one site.

- Amazon: sold the body at $2,098 on October 7, and its stock for the silver and black kits has come and gone since. Buy only when sold and shipped by Amazon.com.
- Adorama: an authorized dealer. Check bundles against a plain price cut.
- Cashback: last year Sony added a $50 cashback on the a7C II through January 1. Check how it is paid before you count on it.
