Panasonic Black Friday 2026: what to buy now and what to wait for
On October 22, B&H had $400 off most Lumix bodies, and Panasonic’s own store advertised a “Fall Deal” of $500 off the S5 II. On October 28, B&H’s S5 II body page was $1,997.99, the regular price, while Adorama still listed $1,597.99. We couldn’t find an end date for the older offer. We could only verify last year’s US prices for two bodies: the S5 II was $1,497.99, and the S9 body was $1,197.99. On October 30, B&H’s S9 body page was $1,497.99 and out of stock. A new Panasonic camera is also rumored for November. Black Friday is November 27 and Cyber Monday is November 30.

“Black Friday 2025” is the B&H price reported by TechRadar in November 2025 for the S5 II and S9. We couldn’t verify last year’s US prices for the other bodies, so we don’t claim a comparison. Checked October 22, 2026 against B&H and Panasonic’s US store. The S5 II body was rechecked on October 28. The GH7 body, the G9 II Basic Bundle and the S1 II body were rechecked on November 1. The S1 II page is $2,897.99, not the October 18 price of $2,784.95. Prices change often, so each button below opens the live listing.
Lumix Rumors reported on October 14 that three sources say Panasonic will hold a major product announcement in November, for the Lumix 25th anniversary. It named no product. Its best guess is an L-mount cinema camera, and it thinks a compact Micro Four Thirds body is more likely than a GH8. Photo Rumors, on October 19, gave the same guesses. Panasonic has only confirmed LUMIX Collective workshops, starting in Manchester on November 17 and ending in New York in early December, and no camera launch. We wouldn’t hold off on an S5 II or G9 II for a rumor about a different kind of camera.

Lumix S9
Wait for stockB&H’s black body page was $1,497.99 on October 30, temporarily out of stock until about January 18, 2027. On October 18 that page was $1,097.99 and already out of stock. Lumix GH7
WaitThe 25.2MP Micro Four Thirds video camera records 4K60 4:2:2 10-bit with no time limit, plus 5.7K60 and ProRes RAW. B&H’s body page is $1,797.99, and the category shows that under $2,197.99. Panasonic’s store had listed the regular price at $2,199.99. We couldn’t verify last year’s US Black Friday price, so this is the current authorized price, not a proven holiday low. Lumix G9 II
WaitThe 25.2MP Micro Four Thirds stills and wildlife body, with a 100MP handheld high-resolution mode. On November 1 the Basic Bundle, a bag and a card, was $1,497.99, from $1,966.93. Lumix S1 II and S1R II

Lumix lens deals
We couldn’t verify last year’s US Lumix lens rebates, so we can’t give you a number to beat. Panasonic’s store currently lists the LUMIX S 50mm f/1.8 at a sale price of $347.99. Panasonic’s lens prices are usually set along with its camera deals, so check lenses again when the holiday prices appear. The L-mount system also includes lenses from other brands, which are discounted separately.
Bundles, financing and used prices
- Bundles: B&H sells Basic Bundles with a bag and memory card. On November 1 a search card listed the S5 IIX with the 20-60mm lens at $1,997.99, from $2,080.93. An older note of $582.94 off was not on that card. Compare a bundle against the body price plus the accessories you’d buy anyway.
- Panasonic’s store: advertises up to 12 months of interest-free financing for a limited time. On October 22 its S5 II price matched the discounted B&H price. On October 28 B&H’s body page was $1,997.99.
- Used: A November 1 search card listed used S5 IIX bodies from $1,933.95, which is above the new body at $1,797.99. An older $1,617.95 figure was not on the pages we opened. Don’t buy a used body for more than the new one. B&H’s older GH7 used note was $1,635.95, and we did not recheck it.
Where to buy Panasonic gear on Black Friday
- B&H: an authorized dealer that carries the rebates and bundles. Online checkout closes for Shabbat from Friday evening to Saturday night, including Black Friday, so order before Friday evening.
- Adorama: an authorized dealer that carried Panasonic deals last year.
- Amazon: buy only when the listing is shipped and sold by Amazon.com, so you get a US-warranty unit and Amazon’s holiday returns.
- Panasonic’s US store: sells directly at shop.panasonic.com (not an affiliate link). On October 22 its S5 II price matched the discounted B&H price.

Panasonic positions the GH7 for filmmakers, with 4K60 4:2:2 10-bit unlimited recording and ProRes RAW. It positions the G9 II for wildlife and stills, with a 100MP handheld high-resolution mode. The G9 II costs $300 less.
Is the Lumix S9 worth buying at $1,097.99?
As a first full-frame camera for video, yes. It’s below last Black Friday’s price. TechRadar notes that photographers are better served by other bodies.
